Moya beaten!

Something in my heart said Moya will lose the finals this time and it so happened as Croat Ivan Ljubicic won the ATP Open mens final title at chennai.had moya won it,he would have made a hatrick of this atp title.ivan won the match 7-6,6-2 and this match really must have been a feast for the packed stadium.i am little disappointed as our boys Rohan and Prakash lost the doubles title on sunday, but they have made it really big this time.my wishes to all the players.
Sania effect:
One thing i was surprised and shocked to see was the stadium was housefull on both saturday(semi-finals) and sunday(finals)matches mainly due to advance booking and this has never happened before for this atp event.i was thinking of the reason and i suspect Sania Mirza to be solely responsible for this to happen.this is bcos, with her popularity tennis has become a super sport in India and i am really happy about this.my wishes to her too.

  • yes sania has made the game popular in india.. but the game as such has become so monotonic these days.. not much of variety.. u dont have a serve and volley players anymore.. :( but it's good that a sport other than cricket is also becoming popular.. (curioulsy the game was never that popular when Paes-Bhupathi were claiming grand slams)..
